Physical Therapy

Doctor’s of Physical Therapy are the premiere rehabilitation health professional for all things neuromusculoskeletal. Whether its joint, muscle, or neurologic pain, a physical therapist will develop a specific plan of care catered around your personal needs, aimed towards achieving your functional goals, and most importantly, designed to retrain optimal movements patterns to decrease your risk of future injury. If you are looking for an alternative to surgery or pain management, consider finding yourself a physical therapist. It’s our belief the most important responsibility of a physical therapist is to educate you on why you are experiencing pain, what movement patterns perpetuate the problem, and how to alleviate your symptoms.

Physical therapists are evidence-based health care practitioners who can correct faulty movement patterns by eliminating muscle imbalances, mobilizing soft tissue restrictions, facilitating neuromuscular re-education, and restoring proper joint mechanics. However, unless you understand how to maintain these physiological improvements, common compensatory patterns, or proper movement mechanics, the underlying cause of your symptoms will continue to persist. It’s our hope, through this website that the knowledge you’ll gain will keep you moving and doing the things you love.

Blending science with inspiration, your physical therapist will teach you how to prevent or manage a health condition and help motivate you during your treatment so you can function optimally. Your physical therapist will work with you to help you understand your body so you will achieve long-term health benefits.

As of January 1, 2014, California law (under AB1000) allows licensed physical therapists to provide direct physical therapy.  What Direct access allows is an individual to legally be seen by a physical therapist without a physician referral; this includes being evaluated and treated by their physical therapist for a period of 45 calendar days or 12 visit, whichever occurs first. Direct Access allows you to expedite treatment, save time and money. Every state in the United States has some degree of direct access.
